Wild Ones Greater Baton Rouge Chapter is centered in East Baton Rouge and serves East and West Baton Rouge, Ascension, Livingston, East Feliciana, West Feliciana, St. Helena, Tangipahoa, and surrounding communities in the Loess Plains region of southern Louisiana.

Seeds and Chat ~ Laugh and Chaff
A summer social is a fun way for Wild Ones Greater Baton Rouge chapter members to get out of the Louisiana heat and prepare for the fall seed swap. On September 6, 2026, 15 members and two guests met at the library and brought native seeds from their gardens and outings. New Wild Ones Chapter President, Allison Gianelloni, welcomed everyone, and Vice President, Janine Kharey, gave helpful tips for separating seeds from chaff and mold-free storage. The board members and everyone in attendance were introduced, and then everyone went to work! The processed seeds were donated to Wild Ones for the member seed swap, coming up on October 18, and for the seed library that is used for many projects throughout the year.
There was a great variety of seeds, ranging from (Golden) Alexander to Zig-Zag Iris! Attendees also enjoyed a lovely spread of snacks and mocktails.
