When it’s too hot to go outside, BREC Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Center brings the wildlife inside! The new seedling chapter of Wild Ones Greater Baton Rouge partnered with the Louisiana Master Naturalists of Greater Baton Rouge and wowed “Wonders of Wildlife” event visitors with native host plant information and live caterpillars munching on their host plants. The amphibians, reptiles, and mammals at the event were great, but the caterpillars really captured everyone’s curiosity!
