Did you know that Louisiana was once home to about 2.5 million acres of tall grass prairie? Today, less than 1% remains of this critically imperiled ecosystem. I had the chance to see the first Baton Rouge screening of Louisiana Grass Roots, a short documentary about it (the “Cajun Prairie”) today at the Manship Theatre in Baton Rouge. If you ever have a chance to see it, I highly recommend it.
